Job Description

Innovative Solutions, a leading cybersecurity company in the GCC, is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join their Security Operation Center (SOC) team.

In this role, you will be instrumental in monitoring security events, triaging potential threats, and executing initial incident response procedures. You will leverage a variety of security tools to detect, analyze, and address security incidents, working collaboratively to maintain a robust security posture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security events and alerts from various security sources
  • Triage and analyze security incidents and determine appropriate response actions
  • Perform initial incident response tasks, including containment and remediation
  • Collaborate with other members of the SOC team to investigate and resolve security incidents
  • Document and report security incidents and response activities
  • Maintain and update documentation of security processes and procedures
  • Conduct basic analysis of network traffic and log data to identify potential threats
  • Stay updated with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends
  • Participate in regular training and knowledge sharing sessions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
  • Relevant certifications such as Security+, Network+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) preferred
  • Knowledge of information security concepts, principles, and best practices
  • Experience or knowledge of security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, firewalls, and endpoint protection
  • Understanding of network protocols and TCP/IP fundamentals
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work in shifts and participate in on-call rotation
